Primary Capabilities of ESDAS are as follows:
The activities of ESDAS primarily consist of the provision of maintenance, depot operation, logistics services, and system engineering/design related to highly sophisticated electronic systems. Among the systems being operated, maintained, and refurbished by ESDAS are complex radars, heightfinders, automated data handling systems and communication systems.
Since 1993 ESDAS activities have expanded into the field of design, manufacture, and assembly of specialized equipment and systems (antennas, antenna positioning and tracking system, remotely tuned and computer operated receivers, signal combining and re-distribution equipment) for various applications.
Systems Engineering, Systems Planning, Integration, Installation, Check-out, and Commissioning, Systems Operations and Maintenance, Depot Operation, Repair of parts, and After-Sales Support, Systems Training, and establishment of Documentation for highly sophisticated Communications, Air Defense, Data Processing and Handling, Radar, and Air Traffic Control Systems are integral part of ESDAS activities.
The scope of activities (see the table below) comprises all relevant tasks connected with Field Services. These are implementation and operation of technical (electronic, electric, electromechanic, and mechanic) equipment and systems. The main effort and experience is in the field of radar, communication, data collection, transfer and handling, test, checkout and handover of equipment or parts (boards) thereof.
Field services are provided for Radar Systems (Ground & Airborne), Video Extraction Systems, Data Processing & Display Systems, ATC & TACAN, AWACS Systems, and IFF/SIF Systems.
The activity Depot Level Maintenance means the repair of items that cannot be serviced by the customer. This activity requires well equipped workshops, trained personnel and material management down to the smallest replaceable part. ESDAS, within its facility runs a depot comprising more than 6000 line items.
Design & Development of new applications as to customer requirements is an activity having evolved out of the two aforementioned activities.
In the Workshops all necessary work concerned with the above tasks is performed. Production of prototypes and the manufacturing of small series of newly developed equipment is a major task for the workshops staff. In addition, calibration of Test and Measurement equipment is done for whatever customer. The provision of services within the ESDAS scope of activities is not limited to a specific group of customers and can be rendered worldwide.
All work performed at ESDAS is subject to Quality Assurance Rules and Procedures. ESDAS is certified by Bureau Veritas International according to ISO 9001 and by the Turkish Ministry of Defense according to AQAP 2110 (NATO, Allied Quality Assurance Procedure).
